[How I'm Feeling |cheerfulcheerful]

My birthday is in 6 days and I am so excited. Mostly excited for Michael being here and Melinda and Aaron coming up on Saturday.
I am not really sure what I am going to do to entertain Melina and Aaron but I am sure that it will be an awesome weekend.

Two weekends ago I went back down to LA but this time it was for Six Flags. My uncle Bobby is probably the biggest Six Flags fan in the world and wanted to take me to fright fest for my birthday. I thought that it was a god idea and invited Michael and when he refused I started to want to back out because I started to remember that fright fest isn't fun. In fact it is kind of terrifying. A lot of people have fun with it including my mom who made fun of me the whole time while I was being paralyzed with fear. Looking back I think it is ridiculous how scared I got but at the time I was not having fun. However, Magic Mountain had a good set up where it wasn't the whole park that had makeup wearing zombie look-a-likes but only designated areas so for the faint of heart you were safe. But once we hit the first scary part I wanted to leave. After a while and some convincing I agreed to wait in line for one of the mazes. I will admit though that after being in the atmosphere the scary guys actually just became kind of funny characters posing for pictures and hamming up the audience. However, I don't think that I will be going back for fright night, It is just too stressful.

On Friday I decided to go back to Mariposa to see Channing in her first play. It was very interesting to be back at the high school going to see a play that my little sister was in. I wanted to make sure to avoid all people that I might know and did so for the most part successfully. The play unfortunately was really boring and Channing didn't have a very big part which sucked for her and my family who had to sit through the rest of the play knowing Channing wouldn't be back on the stage. After the play I talked to my old drama teacher and that was interesting and also awkward. We both agreed that it was a mistake that I didn't go to UCLA he being an alum and me not being with Michael.

One last thing I am always so surprised around this time of year that Halloween hasn't passed. Despite the fact that Halloween and my birthday are on the same day it always seems that Halloween should at least take place a week to two weeks before it actually does. I think that it is because every store starts preparing for the holiday so early that you tend to get tired of all the decorations before the holiday actually hits. One Halloween item that I will never get sick of would definitely be the Halloween cereals. "Boo Berry," "Count Chocula," and "Frankenberry." Those cereals have become a tradition in my life and every year when I think that I'm not going to get them because I can't find them in the store or I just forget my mom comes through and saves the day.

Long Time no Post [Oct. 13th, 2009|09:15 pm]
Wow, It has been so long since I have made a post on LJ.
So much has changed since my last post but the only people who would see this pretty much already know that I moved to Sacramento.
As far as that goes I guess that I generally like it despite my better efforts. My biggest problem is that it isn't LA. Other than that I actually like a lot of things about this city.
Today was the first storm of the Fall and it turned Sacramento upside down. I wasn't able to go to my French class tonight because despite leaving 30 minutes before class there was so much traffic do to the weather and general chaos I would have been at least 45 minutes late and that is way to ridiculous.

So far school is going pretty well. I do miss MPC a lot and being familiar with how the school works. I also am bummed that I didn't take more of Kezirian's history classes and had a brief thought of changing my major to history but don't like the potential job prospects so I guess it will remain a hobby rather than a life choice.

Last weekend I went to LA to see Mike. It was so much fun and we did all of our favorite things:
  • We saw three movies: Zombieland, An Education, and Couples Retreat
  • Saw our first celebrity JC Chasez from N'Sync. Mike really wanted me to take a picture with him. It would have only been good for two reasons. 1. proof and 2. to show how low cut his shirt was. srsly out of control.
  • Went to Santa Monica has a decently good brunch where I paid almost $5 for a very small glass of fresh squeezed OJ.
  • Visited with Ignacio which wasn't as awkward as I expected.
  • Became familiar with the LAX area and all the glory of El Segundo, Ca.
  • Pinkberry x 4
I plan to go back to LA next weekend because my mom, sister, and my "uncle" bobby are taking me to six flags for fright night. I am excited about six flags because didn't get to go last year or this summer so it is about time. I am a little hesitant about fright night because  I went to one a Knott's Berry Farm and it was so scary that it wasn't really that much fun but hopefully the park will be open during the day so that we can go on all the good rides. Too bad Michael has two exams on Monday and won't be joining us.

Also, my 21st birthday is at the end of the month and I am pretty excited. Michael will be here and I am sure that we will find something fun to do that involves lots of champagne.
My last thing is that I need to find a job. I haven't been as aggressive as I have been in the past and I have kind of been dragging my feet about it but I have a place in mind that serves great drinks, offers full health benefits and is only two blocks from my house. I gave them my resume so hopefully I will hear back from them.

spring break 09 [Apr. 12th, 2009|09:50 pm]
[Where I'm At |home]
[How I'm Feeling |tiredtired]

Spring break was overall really good.
I spent a majority of it in LA and that was amazing.
Pinkberry and House, M.D. all day everyday.
I only worked two days (still too much),
and I made a trip home and was able to see Melinda's family as well as my own.
Bonus Points: I got red bull, a yo-yo, and a crazy straw for Easter.

I did have a lot of homework that I should have done but instead I did none of it and will have to figure something out  before Tuesday.
Excited for to get back to school so the semester will eventually end and it can be summer time.

Also I hate the wind and it is really winding in PG. Fuck this place.

[Tunes |Champion-Kanye West]

Things have been awesome lately.
This weekend I went to LA and it was a super quick trip. I spent a total of 34 hours in La and 11.5 hours of driving. It was totally worth it and so much fun. Michael and I saw two movies, Last House on the Left and Sunshine Cleaning. We had awesome Kung Pow Chicken and of course Pinkberry. Last House was okay extremely gruesome and had a rape scene that made me sick. Sunshine Cleaning was better Amy Adams is adorable and I really like Emily Blunt but Clifton Collins Jr. was totally awesome as the nice guy and was really handsome with only one flaw, a questionable ponytail.

Monday was okay I had to drive home from LA in order to be at work by 12:45 which turned out to be okay because I made record time for myself and got here at 11:45. Work was really boring and I started to get cranky and tired towards then end. I came home and slept for 12 hours.

Today has been pretty good. I went to school but left before statistics because since I slept when I got home from work yesterday I didn't do my homework and wasn't prepared for the quiz I was going to have to take. I then went and asked some question about Rx sunglasses and then talked to Mauro and Brad for a little while. I now kind of want to see Che. I came home and ate then talked to Michael, went on a little run and am now eating a vegan cupcake that my roommate made yesterday. It is not that bad but no where near the quality of Sarah's animal friendly baking skills. I suppose I will now do my homework for english.

Now I am looking forward for Thursday and the upcoming week.

Mental Health Day... [Mar. 10th, 2009|02:22 pm]
[How I'm Feeling |happyhappy]

...Melinda and I used to take these i high school were we would take the day off and do something fun like go shopping with her mom. Today, however, I am just staying home and so far it has proved to be very successful.
I slept until 11:30, talked to Bob (stoner landlord that is actually really nice and interesting) for and hour and a half then watched a little HGTV, made a doctors appointment, and now I am watching A Time To Kill.
This movie is awesome. Say what you want about Matthew McConaughey, Samuel L. Jackson, and Joel Schumacher (Jirko), but this movie is so good. I remember watching it when I was younger and I thought that it was so scary but it about a man (Jackson) whose 10 year old daughter is raped and almost killed but two hillbillies and then he seeks his revenge and murders them in the court house. The movie then becomes about the trial against Jackson's character and how the young up-in-coming lawyer (McConaughey) struggles with the case and his family constantly being threatened but the KKK.

However, I should be studying more then anything else but I am going to slack a little bit and finish the movie.

[Tunes |HIMYM and Michael on Skype]

So things have been kind of awesome except for being a little sick. I have realized that things are awesome because I had a Statistics test today that I only studied for 1.5 hours and I did awesome so that is really good. Additionally I came home and laid in bed and watched How I Met your Mother for two hours then made hot Chocolate ate sugar cookies and continued to watch HIMYM!!! Also I just need to study for my Biology test on Thursday and do some catch up, a lot of catch up, on my online class. That is what weekends are for right? right!

habits... [Feb. 24th, 2009|10:24 pm]
[How I'm Feeling |contentcontent]
[Tunes |Tears For Affairs- Camera Obscura]

....I have this bad habit and I have had this habit for my entire academic career and that is putting off homework for far to long.
I guess that I always expect it to be harder then it is and my brain being as illogical as it is decides that why do hard homework when I have time to figure it out, maybe I will just leave it for later. That has screwed me many time but luckily lately all of the homework that I have been putting off has been pretty easy. I hope that I didn't just jinx myself. Or it might have something to due with the fact the I love two of my classes and the other two, the two that are real, I don't have real teachers for so things tend to be pretty easy. However, I have been seriously neglecting an online class that is going to really hurt me if I don't start participating in it. ughhhhh.

Enough of my school rant.

I have been listening to Camera Obscura a lot lately (thank you michael). Actually I have been switching between them and episodes of this American Life. The good thing about TAL is that you can listen to it for a few days straight because generally all of the stories are so good, forget about it for a couple of months and then pick it up again and enjoy it just as much as you did before you abandoned Ira the first time.
In addition to Camera Obscura and TAL, I listed to Explosions today and it made me want to go on a long drive, too bad for responsibilities.

Anyways, things that I am looking forward to:
- Scrabble Party on Thursday, complete with swivel board
- Michael here on Friday
- finally getting a Saturday off so I can go to Magic Mountain.
- getting my tax return hopefully soon.

Oscars... [Feb. 22nd, 2009|09:48 pm]
[Where I'm At |floor]

...Were typical yet disappointing.
However, Hugh Jackman was awesome. His musical numbers were so entertaining and he really made the show worth watching.
Now I am needing to do homework and catch up in class because between last weekend and being completely unproductive this weekend I am getting nervous that I am falling behind. Luckily my teachers are kind of awesome/new and things haven't been bad.

Annnndddd I can't wait for next weekend. sooooo excited.

One last thing, fuck Heath Ledger for winning, the Wrestler should have been nominated more and Mickey Rourke should have won best actor!!!!

update. [Feb. 18th, 2009|09:55 pm]
[Tunes |real world]

LA was awesome.
I was there for five days and it was not long enough. I have decided that I kind of love LA.
The traffic is a little ridiculous but it isn't that bad and it can be avoided.
While I was there that was a lot of relaxing done by watching movies and the entire first season of Mad Men.
It is a pretty good show and there is awesome costume design since it is set in the year 1960 they really have the fifties fashion and everything else going for them. It is interesting watching it and seeing the behavior of the characters.
Michael and I also saw He's Just Not that Into You and I thought that it was pretty good. On top of all of that Pinkberry!

I now have a lot to catch up on because I skipped school on Thursday to surprise Michael and then I stayed Monday night because the weather was so bad over the 5, therefore effectively missing school on Tuesday. Not good but it was worth it for sure.

I also just set up a twitter account which is kind of cool but I am not sure how often I will be using it.
but if you want to know my every thought SN: chelssseah
